This liquid comes in ]-]ioutid cans and is volatile; there- iorv it should not be opened until you •Mr ready to use the liquid. Holes are bored in the ground four to five inches deep, a foot aj)art each way, and a tea- spoonful of eiirbon bisulphide is poured in eail. iiole. The hole should be im- niediuti'iy closed and the soil well firmed over it. The gas from the carbon is ])enetrating and will suft"ocate all worms and larva-. Do not use any naked lights near the carbon, as it is quite explosive. It i- better to apply this liquid when the soil is moist, as it is then more jienctrating and deadly.
