A paper which he read beforethe Western Railway Club some timeago, contains some points about station-ary boilers and shop heating that are wellworthy of consideration by those respon-sible for the heating of railroad of the paper reads: We find boilers so short that thereis not sufficient flameway to finish the illy contrived coils and pipes, the resultbeing much leakage, an occasional burst-ing of pipes or radiators, and great wasteof fuel and unsatisfactory results gener-ally.
