Thereare three eggs in this , • ,, Fig. CI. — Great Godwit. set, measurmg X , X , and X The color is aclear, light olivaceous-drab; the markings are smalland numerous, but not very strongly pronounced —there is nothing (in this set) of the heavy blotching andmarking usually seen in waders eggs. The spots arepretty evenly distributed, though rather larger in twoinstances, and more numerous in the other instance,about the butt than elsewhere.
