He located on Section 34, Sci-ota Township, where he bought and improvedeighty acres of land. This he owned abouteight years, and then moved to a place justwest of Good Hope, 111., on Section 29. WalnutGrove Township. There he remained six years,cultivating a quarter-section which had beenl)reviously improved. He also owned eightyacres in Section 24. Sciota Township, where heafterward made his home, operating 160 acres.
