Tergites of segments I and II small ; that of segment VIII large. Sternites of segment VIII bounded along their outer margins by a longitudinal heavily sclerotized strip. Ostioles absent. Abdominal setae on each side : Dorsal setae usually 2 on segments I to VII (sometimes 3 on segments IV and VI), and one slightly longer seta on segment VIII. Pleural setae 2 on segment I, 2-3 on segment II, and 3 on segments III to VIII, including a longer one on the latter segment. Ventral setae 1 on segment II, 2-3 on segment III, 4-5 on segments IV to VII, and 1 on segment VIII.
