The game at timeswas very interesting and amused the spectators throughout all four quarters. December 16, our team played with Kirkland. This proved a closegame throughout with the Kirkland girls leading 9-5 at the end of the firsthalf. However, our girls came back strong in the second half and not onlytied the score, but won 14-12. On January 14, the team lost the first game, being defeated by the De-catur girls. Although the Berne girls kept at an almost equal pace duringthe first part of the game, it was an easy matter for the visiting teams tobring the score to 23-7 by the end of the second half. A
