Hay Castle, Hay on Wye, Powys, Wales, UK. 15th April, 2015. Preliminary work has now started on the restoration of Hay Castle and the adjacent Jacobean period Castle House in the centre of the famous border town of Hay on Wye. The project will receive £528,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of an estimated £ needed to conserve the medieval and Jacobean buildings and create a new centre for arts and culture on site.
