CHILD WITH DIABETES
Reportage on the daily life of Oscar, a 3 and a half-year old boy who has type 1 diabetes. Oscar has a glucose sensor and insulin pump. He started nursery school this year. His parents had to train the school’s personnel in how to control and regulate his blood sugar levels throughout the day. The head of the cantine weighs food containing carbohydrates and calculates, with the help of an app, the quantity of carbohydrates eaten during the meal. This quantity is noted down in a notebook.
