Erosion is visible along the sand-lined beach at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania, April 5, 2022. To control shoreline erosion of the beach, and to induce the continued growth of it’s Gull Point – a habitat for endangered species – the Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District nourishes shoreline with new sand each year.
