Marte Willis (left), the president of the Alamo Area Chapter of American Gold Star Mothers, is served her lunch dish during the Gold Star Mothers and Family luncheon Sept. 24 at the Warrior and Family Support Center, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. Held every year on Gold Star Mothers and Family Day, the event honors families of service members who have fallen in the line of duty.
