Galaxy NGC 5866. Hubble Space Telescope (HST) image of the disk galaxy NGC 5866 tilted nearly edge-on to the line-of-sight, and revealing a crisp dust lane dividing the galaxy in two halves. NGC 5866 lies around 44 million light-years from Earth, in the constellation Draco. Imaged by the Advanced Camera for Surveys on the Hubble Space Telescope, in November 2005.
