The Royal Navy during the Second World War Fleet minesweepers on their way out to sweep the convoy channel. The 750 tons fleet minesweepers, mostly built in Canada, escorted convoys, assisted in the destruction of U-Boats, and acted as rescue ships between spells of minesweeping.
