Mr, Fosdick has been active in public Hehas served seven years on the school committee andwa; for two years member and president of thecommon council and ex-officio member of the schoolcommittee. He was the mayor of Fitchburg in1886 and iS^o. He has been a trustee of the Worces-ter North Savings Institution. He is chairman ofthe board of trustees of the Foxboro .State Hospital.
