Hundreds of thousands of faithful youth participants gathered at the Campus Misericordiae, Brzegi, Poland as part of World Youth Day celebrations and held an evening Vigil with Pope Francis. The events are meant to be deeds of mercy. World Youth Day was initiated by St. John Paul II in 1997 and meant to be a series of gatherings, celebrating the community of the Catholic Church and its faith.
