He departedthis life on the 6th day of Auguft, in the 20th year of Edward IV. and, purfuant to the direc-tions given in his laft will (c), was buried in St. Anns chapelin the church of Wefton upon Avon (d). He afiumed the name of Cokefey in refnefl of theinheritance he enjoyed by defcent from his grand-mother, andhaving livery of his fathers lands, made Milcote his chiefrefidence. In the fame year, 20 Edv/ard IV. (f) he wasconftituted fheriff of Warwickflnre and Leicefterfiiire, and atthe coronation of king Henry VII. (g) was one of the knightsof the Bath then created. The next year, 2 Hen. VII. hewas made (h) a knight banneret, for his valiant behaviour inthe battle of Stoke.
