Gnathopod 1, 5th joint subequal to 2nd, its upper apex produced as a short point overhanging base of 6th, in the juvenile as well as the adult, 6th shorter than 5th, ovate- triangular, palm somewhat oblique, with rounded defining angle and no spine, palmar margin spinulose, lower margins of 5th and 6th joints densely setose, and outer surfaces with several fascicles of setae arranged in rows.
