The Waterfront Development Project still in progress with JCB Diggers digging up new road lanes and foundations for new buildings in Dundee. The Olympia Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool demolished to make way for the Modern V&A Museum beside the “RRS Discovery Ship” at “Discovery Point”. The Railway Station is the next major stage of Dundee’s £1 billion waterfront redevelopment could be on the timetable soon. Councillors are to consider a £ million demolition project for the current Dundee rail station. The train station will form a key part of the city’s new-look waterfront, with passengers to the new facility to be greeted by the £45 million V&A at Dundee museum and the new Malmaison Hotel situated in the Tay Hotel. The £14 million train station is set to be a five-story, crescent-shaped building, complete with a 130-room hotel that should open by 2015. The building will also feature retail units, a cafe/restaurant and ticketing facilities.
