The town of Berwick-on-Tweed and historic Old Bridge (Berwick Bridge) which spans the river Tweed. The bridge was opened in 1624, and still used for traffic crossing the river. The town is located inside the northern edge of the county of Northumberland. It is very close to the northern border between England (to the south) and Scotland (to the north).
