HENRY CRONK, Chippewa Falls, came to Wisconsin in was born in Ithaca, N. Y., Oct. 17, 1833. August, 1862, he enlistedin Co. H. 137th V. I„ served about one year, when he was dis-charged on account of disaljility caused by sickness. After leaving thearmy, he traveled for some time, for the benfit of his health. Prior tocoming to Chippewa Falls, he was employed for about five years as con-ductor on railroad from Meadville to Oil City, Pa. Since coming herehe has been engaged in mercantile pursuits. He was married in thetown of Caroline, Tompkins Co., , Sept. 6,1858, to Lucy A. Martin,a native of Dryden Tompkins Co., She died Jan. 10, 1876, leav-ing one child, Charles W„ born Feb. II, 1863. He has been a memberof the Methodist Church since he was fourteen years of E. W. CULVER, general manager of the Chippewa Lumber &Boom Company, was born in .^shlabula, Ohio, April 15, 1839; came toBeloit, Wis., in 1855 ; lived there three years, then went to Freeport,111., where he resided for about twenty years ; then went to Hannibal,Mo.; carried on lumber business in Missouri and Kansas until 1872;then came to Badger State Mills, and was afterwards one ol incorpora-tors of the Badger State Lumber Company, and continued with thatorganization until 1S77, when he became connected with the companywhich he now represents. In July, i860, he was married in Freeport,111,, to Mary Pencil, a native of Lewisburg, Pa. They have four chil-dren living
