Army Gen. Gary Brito, commander of Army Training and Doctrine Command, and Colonel Frankie Cochiaosue, 733d Mission Support Group commander, assist Jacob Connor, in flipping the switch during a tree lighting ceremony Dec. 2, 2022, at Fort Eustis, Virginia. This tradition dates back to the 1950s with a few different trees over the years. This tree was just planted in the fall of 2022 because of storms that destroyed the previous ones. Jacob Connor, son of Master Sgt. Ben, Peralta, was the first to light the new Christmas tree.
