Servius Sulpicius Galba, Roman Emperor, (c1590-1629). Galba (3 BC-69) was emperor at the beginning of 69 AD, the 'Year of the Four Emperors'. He came to power in June the previous year after Nero committed suicide. His rule ended when he was murdered by members of the Praetorian Guard who supported the claim of Marcus Salvius Otho to be emperor.
