D., Rector of St. Pauls Roman CatholicChurch of this citv. was born at Midlcton. Ireland. February i. 1847. son of Richardand Mary (Rransfield) Goggin. His parents came to this city in 1849, and the sonattended the public schools here. In 1860 he entered St. Charles College, Baltimore,Maryland, and was graduated in 1878 the degree of being conferred in 1910. T. OReilly. He had thehonor of being the youngest rector ever appointed to this parish. He was transferred,September i, 1880, to the pastorate of St. Bridgets Church, of Millbury, and remainedthere for twelve years. He was transferred, January 26. i8g8, from Millbury to thepastorate of St. Charles Church in Pittsfield, by Bishop Beaven, remaining there untilhe was transferred by Bishop Beaven, April i, 1902. to his present parish, St. Pauls,of Worcester, succeeding the \ery Rev.
