Cutaneous horn. Large cutaneous horn on the head of a 75-year-old male patient. Cutaneous horns are tumorous growths that result from an overgrowth of the skin protein keratin. They are most often benign but may be malignant (cancerous) or pre-malignant (pre-cancerous). Treatment is with surgical removal.
