Two wild horses graze on a warm day. The 'Konik horse' (in Dutch, konikpaarden), is a relatively small horse from Poland that has been successfully used for natural grazing in the Netherlands for several decades. They have a typical wild color. In the Spring, walkers can easily find them grazing along the hiking routes that cross prefer to live in large groups, divided into smaller 'harems', and you mainly encounter them in the nutrient-rich and water-rich floodplains. Koniks can survive independently in nature, as they are wild horses.
