Market Gardener's Beet. This new beet is one of the best for general cultivation. The illus- tration shows the exact shape. It is symmetrical in form, with few fibrous roots and small top. Outside color is deep, blood red ; in- side color blood red and light red alternately. When cooked it is of a beautiful, dark red color throughout. A valuable acquisition, being round, flat-lieaded cabbage, as early as Wakefield, and one-third more productive.
