The Battle of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan was fought between the British under General Frederick Sleigh Roberts and Afghan forces led by Ayub Khan. It was the last major conflict of the Second Anglo-Afghan War. The British artillery attacked the Babawali mountain pass.
