A painting of The Field of Inkermann, the site of the Battle of Inkermann which was a pivotal moment in the Crimean War on 5th November 1854. The painting is by William Howard Russell. The stone commemorates four officers of the 41st; Captain Richards and Lieutenants Swab(e)y, Taylor and Stirling, who were killed on 5 November.
As far as my research is able to ascertain, I believe this image to be a part of the public domain and free of any copyright restrictions. However if you are intending to use it commercially it is recommended to make sure that there are no restrictions for your use in your country.
