Oradour sur Glane war memorial village ruins, Haute Vienne, France with memorial sign on the church where all the women and children were murdered. In 1944, all inhabitants of the village were killed, and the village was destroyed completely, by the Waffen SS which were on their way to Normandy. De Gaulle decided the village would become a memorial.
