Church of St Lawrence, Mereworth, Kent
The actual architect of this remarkable Georgian church is unknown, but it is thought to be by Roger Harris, after some designs by Colen Cambell, and inspired by a number of great London churches of the time. The interior has a magnificent vaulted roof supported on Doric columns. The upper east widow is an amalgam of 16th 17th and 18th century heraldic stained glass, a display seldom scene in English churches.
