The detachment, says the Editor of the State Papers, wascomposed of men enlisted for that duty from the troops stationedin the vicinity of Boston, and placed undel the command of Arnold, with Roger Enos as second in com-mand. They were relieved from duty in the several organizationsto which they had belonged, and ordered to Cambridge commonon the 8th and 9th of September, where they were assigned to twobattalions of about i,ick) men each.
