The larvae of weevils are white or yellowish with a aark headshield and are usually found in a more or less curved position. Most ofthem are rather robust and with a very few exceptions have no legsor rudiments thereof. The pupa can always be distinguished by the presence of the beaklying flattened between the legs. The adult weevils are distinguished by the prolongation of the headinto a beak. This may be very short and broad or very long andslender.
