Roman Statue Bronze known as Vittoria Alata (Winged Victory) in the Santa Giulia Museum of Brescia, Lombardy region, northern Italy

The Vittoria Alata, an extraordinary bronze statue of Roman times, will be returned to Brescia after the restoration carried out by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence. It will be positioned in the ancient Capitoline Temple with evocative modern staging designed by the architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg. The work will rest firmly on a structure with high precision static-mechanical characteristics: a cylindrical pedestal in Botticino marble, with an anti-seismic base, about meters high.
