They may be started in the house in a warm place, but care should be taken that they get no check in setting out. Plant three or four inches deep in rich ground. If dan- ger of frost before flowers are done in the Fall, lift carefully without disturbing the roots, and plant in pots or boxes, and remove to a warm, light place, and they will continue to bloom for a long time.
