Skin laser therapy. Laser therapist using an integrated laser system to carry out cosmetic skin therapy on a patient's face. Safety equipment is being worn to protect the eyes of therapist and patient. This cosmetic laser system is designed to treat damaged and aged skin (wrinkle removal and skin rejuvenation). Pulses of laser light are used to create micro-damage to reshape the skin. This is the Pixel 2940 handpiece for the Harmony cosmetic laser system from Alma Lasers. It uses an Er:YAG laser (erbium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet) to deliver pixel-sized ablation at 2940-nanometre wavelength.
