The British Army Tractors Prior To the First World War This vehicle was manufactured by the Holt Caterpillar Co. Inc. in 1913 at Illinois, USA. It was largely used to haul guns above 6 inch calibre during the First World War. It's here stripped down of its covering to show some of the parts whcih numbered about 1000. The fuel used was either No. 1 Engine Distillate, Naphta Gravity 54 or petrol. The tank capacity was about 100 gallons.
