One ofthem was fmoking tobacco, and the other was fecuring the fiflithey had taken from the depredations of the infects. Theirmeagre and fqualid looks difcovered evident figns of were covered from head to foot by fwarms of mufquetoes,from whofe ftings their clothing fcarcely fhielded them.
