He was married January 8, 1798, to Sarah Shepard,daughter of Levi Shepard of Northampton, Mass. Shewas born June 23, 1774, and died December 24, 1848, aged74 years and 6 months. After his clealh in 176S, it was the home ofhis son, Col. Thomas Dwight, who died in 1819. At that time it stood frontingMain street where Parsons block now is.
