Photograph taken by lunar module pilot Rusty Schweickart of Apollo 9 astronaut Dave Scott standing in the open hatch of the Command Module docked to the Lunar Module Spider in Earth orbit. Apollo 9 was an earth orbit mission that was launched on 3rd March 1969 and successfully practised all the manoeuvres that would be needed to complete a mission to the Moon. Photographed on 6th March 1969.
