Row of old houses in Bangkok Chinatown with shop selling traditional Chinese delicacies and dried foodstuffs
Located in Samphanthawong District, Bangkok's Chinatown covers a large area around Yaowarat and Charoen Krung Roads. It has been the main centre for trading by the Chinese community since they moved here some 200 years ago. Yaowarat Road is well known for its variety of restaurants and merchants selling Chinese foodstuffs, as well as many shops selling gold.
