Hyde Park Barracks, Macquarie Street, Sydney, Australia. Originally accommodation for convicts, it has also served many other purposes, including accommodation for single female immigrants when they first arrived and government offices and law courts . It was designed by Francis Greenway, Australia's first architect and himself a former convict.
