It was not caught by a big-game fisher man— 14 .303 bullets fired from a trawler killed the monster after it had attacked and ruined the trawler's £200 prawn net. The trawler, the 72ft. Nanango, is owned by commercial prawner, Mr. M. Drinan, of Woody Point.
