One of the "Occupy London" protesters tents outside St Paul's Cathedral with a sign "The Diary Room" bringing a "Big Brother" reference to the tent. Inside the afternoon winter sunlight shines brightly through the blue tent wall outlining a chair at a table which suggests it may indeed have provided a space for writing a journal of events. The Occupy London protest is a non-violent protest campaigning against the lack of affordable housing, social injustice, economic inequality and corporate greed and the influence of companies and lobbyists on the government. They are also backed by the tax avoidance protest group UK Uncut. Protesters set up camp outside the cathedral in October 2011 when they were unable to hold their protest outside the London Stock Exchange in nearby Paternoster Square. They were evicted by bailiffs and police at the end of February 2012 after the High Court refused to allow them to appeal against the eviction ruling.
