A cheetah chase usually lasts less than a minute and covers just 200-300 metres. MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE, KENYA: THIS BRAVE cheetah mum was captured chasing away a lion after he tried to eat her cubs in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. In one image a 330-pound lion can be seen being chased by a 110-pound cheetah. In another shot, the mama cheetah can be seen standing protectively in front of her young. This amazing chase was captured in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya by a local guide Kisemei Saruni (35). Saruni used a Nikon D75 with a 70-400mm lens to capture these images from 130 metres away. mediadrumworld/Kisemei Saruni
