(Dec. 14, 2017) CMDCM Murphy, Command Master Chief Petty Officer for Naval Medical Center San Diego (front-center), joined the nominees for the 2017 Navy Medicine West Senior Sailor of the Year award just minutes prior to the official announcement. Murphy would later accept a plaque on behalf of Naval Medical Center San Diego’s Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Kevin Wilson, who was named the 2017 Navy Medicine West Junior Sailor of the Year.
