The Colourcraft Companyis a trio of young craftsmen—Mr. Bankart,Mr. Jaques and Mr. Hayes—who realisewhat an important part colour plays inour daily lives and know how to employit to good effect. The Birmingham Guild,too, besides the bronze memorial tabletswhich we illustrate as commendable ex-amples of good lettering, show somemetal trays with attractive colour designsthereon. Though the exhibition con-tained few things of a pictorial characterwe were glad to see Mr. J. E. Piattsframed colour print In Derbyshire, andto note its effectiveness as a piece ofdecoration.
