Inside the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao 11

The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, is a world famous museum of modern art, designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry and located in Bilbao, in the heart of the Basque Country of Spain. Inaugurated in 1997, this icon of modern architecture has contributed massively to the regeneration of Bilbao from a tired industrial city to a world tourist attraction. Clad imaginatively in glass, limestone and its signature titanium tiles, its curved lines evoke the flowing profiles of fish and their scales. And its interior is just as striking and modern.
