Thisspecies is named after Jennifer Arnoldwho, in her thesis (Arnold, 1966),first suspected it was an undescribedspecies. Mitchell (1953, ) includedthis species in C. pectoralis, but thelatter differs from C. jarnoldae in having1. a more robust shape; 2. fewersupraciliaries (usually 5); 3. the longeraxis of the ear aperture vertical and in breeding colour (C. pectoralisbreeding males are unifor
