It will grow on any ! land, however poor, but moist land is most suit- able. Although not of high feeding value, it will produce remunerative crops where other crops ^ fail, even doing well on such lands as poor, sandy j or clay hill land. Sow about 20 lbs. per acre. This grass is destined to become valuable for all dry j and hot climates on account of its drought-re- 1 sisting qualities. It has been tested in several places and by the United States Agricultural De- | partment in the arid regions. The Experimental \ Station at 'Garden City, Kan., reports that they have grown it successfully, and think it will be the best grass for the arid regions of the West. It is green from the middle of March to Xovem- 1 ber, and will grow on any soil, even yellow sand, j and is equally good for pasturing, hay, or cutting I green. It is nutritious aud eaten readily by all j kinds of stock. It is a perennial, growing from I two to hve feet high, and ripens in June and Au- gust. Price, 25 cts. per lb. Sheep Fescue. {Festnca Oviiia.) It is a densely tufied perennial grass, indigenous in the Rocky Mountains and other sections.
