Hong Kong, 28 Sep, 2014. Pro-democracy supporters block Queensway in Admiralty and other thoroughfares in Hong Kong as part of Occupy Central's civil disobedience campaign. They want the Hong Kong electorate to be able to nominate future Hong Kong Chief Executive candidates. This has been ruled out by the National People's Congress Standing Committee in Beijing which says Chief Executive candidates have to be nominated by a committee before they can stand for public election. © Robert SC Kemp/Alamy Live News
