Thehumidity so often experienced in mountain regions is here unknown, fogsand mists are rarely seen, and the clear dry air is laden with invigoratingozone. A branch railway, twenty-five miles in length, has recently been built fromCovington, Va., to the Hot Springs, and direct connection is made withthrough trains east and west-bound on the main line of the Chesapeake &Ohio. The Warm Springs Valley can now be reached by rail in 14 hours. 40 from New York, 12 hours from Philadelphia, 9 hours from Baltimore, 8 hoursfrom Washington and Richmond, 10 hours from Norfolk, and 12 hours fromCincinnati. Arrangements can be made, when desired, to run through carsfrom any of the cities named, or from points beyond, direct to the HotSprings. Especial attention is invited to the fact that the Hot and Warm SpringsValley lies midway between New York and Cincinnati, and is reached inone nights ride from either point; that the unequaled medicinal waters ofthis famous valley are so accessible to the populous regions of the country,
